Our Guests - Meet Matt Poteet

Matt Poteet is the Director of Information Technology for Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) in Maryland, a role he’s held since 2021. He began his career at CCPS in 1996 as a high school teacher and volleyball coach, culminating in a 3A state championship and recognition as the Washington Post All-Met Volleyball Coach of the Year. In 2003, Matt shifted to educational technology as a teacher specialist in the Department of System Performance, later advancing to IT Supervisor before becoming IT Director. Passionate about maximizing technology’s return on investment to enhance learning and operational efficiency, he blends his teaching and coaching roots to build a culture of learning across the district. His leadership is guided by the IT Department’s vision of “inspiring and empowering all students and staff with technology to achieve their goals and dreams.”

Our Guests - Meet Devin Page

Devin Page is a Technology Integration Specialist for Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) in Maryland. He taught middle school for twenty-one years--primarily social studies at Northern Middle School (NMS), but also computer applications, reading, and language arts. Mr. Page has coached basketball, soccer, and track, sponsored the National Junior Honor Society, and he led the school's National History Day program. Mr. Page was twice selected NMS Teacher of the Year, a semi-finalist for the Washington Post Teacher of the Year, and he was the Maryland State History Fair Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2023. That same year, Mr. Page was a top-six semifinalist for the National History Day Teacher of the Year. For the past three years, he has served CCPS as a Technology Integration Specialist, with the mission of leveraging technology in the classroom to enhance productivity and student learning.
